James’s paintings inhabit a created life, a conduit to an inner expression. Texture and colour appear as the initial unifying theme in the work, but after a lifetime painting it has many subtle things to say.

Landscape and heads occupy the current themes, sometimes busy, others peaceful.

James believes his painting is analogous to life itself, work over time has hopefully developed a complex unique expression.

The paintings are handled in Ireland through Oliver Gormley, and can be found in Gormley’s galleries Belfast, Dublin, and Omagh, and at all major Art Fairs.
